To investigate geologic Depression cited area, we based on stratigraphy, sedimentology, geochronology (UPb, LA-ICP-MS), structural geology, geomorphology. Our studies, which are our own data thorough bibliographic review, indicate following sequence events tectono-sedimentary during late Cenozoic. was subjected tectonics caused slab rollback Oligocene-early Miocene, resulting genesis series basins filled with volcanic, continental, marine deposits extended from present Chilean coast retroac. were tectonically inverted Early-Late most became positive relief fluvial erosion.
